Hi all

I just spent three hours writing the next part about demos and when I went to preview the post. Because I had been on the same page the site logged me out and I lost it all.

I'll try and reconstruct the post this weekend if I have time.

PS so when you are writing always, always, at least copy the text to the clip board before doing anything with a web text editor. Don't trust them!~!!!!!!!!!!  They will screw you !!!!!!

Hi all,

I said I'd tip this and I had some health issues that postponed posting this bog but I'm feeling better and I thought I'd share.

Two weeks ago I got on the radio to talk about hypnosis with just one phone call.  How did I do it?

It was easier than you think.  All I did was call.

Well .... not really.  I've been scoping this angle for quite some time.  So I prepared some by taking the time to list some topics that I could talk about that I thought the audience would be interested in.  Then I scanned the dial for stations that could possibly use this type of guest. 

I happened across a talk radio station here in Atlanta that just happened to be talking about lucky charms.  The day was July 7th (7/7/07) so I quickly jotted down a topic and called in.  The call screener answered and I told her that I was a hypnotist and would like to talk about why lucky charms work and how the subconscious mind plants these suggestions by association with something good happening while having your lucky charm.  She instantly told me to hold on.

 Now here I was .... on hold and not really sure what to say next.  Yes..... sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants.  They were in a commercial break (they play the station over the phone) and I was at a loss of where to go.  So I gotted down some of the recient callers topics and worked some tie ins with hypnosis, the power of suggestion, how our minds work and of course how they could contact me.  When the hosts came back on (two hosts) they joked around and did their speal and said we've got a caller from Atlanta ...Dave are you there ... and I was on.  

We talked conversationally for a bit and then I just took over.  I talked for about 5 min and I paused every so often expecting the hosts to jump in with the usual comments but they didn't.  They were so facinated with the subject they just let me talk.  And I laid it on..... they concluded the segment by saying they wanted me to hold on becase the hosts wanted to come see me at my office.  The segment concluded and the call screener returned to the line and took my contact info.

Truth is that I havent gotten any biz from the segment and the hosts have not come to see me yet but I did get good exposure and have begun calling other stations asking about guest spots.

 You have to start somewhere.

All it takes is guts.  You just gotta do it.

This is my Daily Mind Game.  Everyday I pick a positive Mind Game that I play with myself to keep a positive attitude for the day and I thought I'd share today's with you all.

 My Mind Game for Monday July 9th 2007 is

"My talents multiply as I work them"

 You can state this as "your talents multiply as you work them" as well but this is for me and in the 1st person.  What does this really mean?  There is an old saying that goes something like

"Opportunity is when preparation meets persistence. 

The universe rewards actions with feedback.  Use your feedback to plan and take new actions and you will succeed in anything you do. 

Tomorrow, I'll tell you how I got on the radio Saturday night with my very first call.
